Welcome to the

Perth and District CLUB
CFUW Perth and District is proud to support local literacy initiatives delivered by public libraries in our district. The Lanark Highlands Public Library used a donation from the club to purchase supplies for STEM-themed kits distributed to local children. Librarian Amanda Robinson told us, “The library could not do what it does without the generous support of a caring community. Thank you again for your thoughtful donation to the library for the many young readers in the community who rely on us for services and programs.” Read the full letter of thanks here.

Established in 1919, CFUW is a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded national organization with close to 100 Clubs. In 2020, CFUW Perth and District Club is celebrating its 50th year of good fellowship, advocacy and community service. Friendships are quickly formed through interest groups ranging from bridge to book clubs, hiking, languages and cuisine.
Fundraising efforts such as the annual Heritage Perth Christmas House Tour have raised over $225,000 in support of advanced education for local women as well as literacy and other educational initiatives in regional schools and libraries. Community service is achieved through committees such as Education, Literacy and the Arts, Environment and Social Justice. To further lifelong learning, there are invited speakers to address topics of public interest. Join us and you will come away with a more active social life and stronger ties to your community.
CFUW membership is open to women interested in furthering the purposes of CFUW. CFUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization based on gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or class. All women are welcome, regardless of formal education.
